The Broward County Public Schools district serves Pembroke Pines. There are 2 public schools (Charles W. Flanagan High School and Everglades High School), 4 public middle schools (Glades Middle School, Pines Middle School, Silver Trail Middle School, and Walter C. Young Middle School), and 9 elementary schools (Chapel Trail Elementary School, Lakeside Elementary School, Palm Cove Elementary School, Panther Run Elementary School, Pasadena Lakes Elementary School, Pembroke Lakes Elementary School, Pembroke Pines Elementary School, Pines Lakes Elementary School, and Silver Palms Elementary School).
There are presently three universities and colleges within the Pembroke Pines region. These include Barry University, Broward Community College, and Florida International University, all of which contain their Broward-Pines Center regional Campus in the city.
